All of are dogs are raise as a part of our Family. Growing up I was taught and strongly Believe
in only Breeding Dogs that will complement or better their breed. My Father Bred Golden Retrievers for Approx. 10yrs
and I've been breeding Chocolate Labs for 6 - 7 years. My dogs are very mild in temperment and have had their
hips certified (OFA). They are Registered AKC. I also have their Breeding lines, which are available upon request. On
(9/28/10) Brock and our Golden Retriever( Misty), passed and both have received the AKC's Canine Good Citizenship
Certificate.
Our dogs and puppies live in our home in Elk River, MN on about
10 acres and are well loved and cared for. I try to think of things to make it easier on my puppies and their potential owners. When
the puppies are three to four weeks old we start to separate their birthing box into separate areas (Blankets on one side
and shredded newspaper on the other),they seem to do very well with early potty training. We also put Collars on
our puppies at this age, they aren't bothered by it like they are if you wait until they're eight or nine weeks old.
Spring, summer and fall puppies(4 + weeks old) are taken in turn to the parks and or my son's Baseball
or football games and pratices for Socializing. And with weather Permitting they are introduced to water (either our
big above ground pool or our dogs kiddie pool) with great care and supervision. They are also introduced to
the scents of Duck,Pheasant and Grouse.
At eight weeks of age all puppies
will be Wormed 3 to 4 times, had their dew claws removed and will have had their first set of shots.
